The AMQ® : a story that has lasted since 1981 thanks to the trust of its ever-increasing members.
The AMQ® head office
The AMQ® head office is located on Boulevard Louis-XIV in Beauport, Quebec. Its landscaping, all in simplicity and beauty, is maintained by the expert hands of Annie DesRochers, proud member of the association. A discreet and unpretentious building, the AMQ® head office houses its employees' offices, a conference room as well as a practical and theoretical evaluation room. It is therefore in a warm and invigorating environment that the AMQ® team works for its members.
A memory that challenges time
The AMQ® typewriter is still at the post, after years of service producing members' cards. With the green shift that the association is taking by moving from paper cards to virtual cards, a gentle retirement is beginning for this little vintage jewel. It is now part-time that it will only make cards for new members as well as those who are re registering.

Charlotte Bélanger’s 25th anniversary on the AMQ® Board of Directors
Charlotte Bélanger, one of the founders of the AMQ®, celebrated her 25 years on the Board of Directors in 2008. For this special occasion, a tribute was paid to her during a General Assembly. In 1983, Ms. Bélanger was named Treasurer. Subsequently, in 1995, to her title of Treasurer was added the title of Secretary and then became that of Secretary-Treasurer of the AMQ®.

Massages offered by the AMQ® for a good cause
In 2007, members of the AMQ® were called upon to volunteer during an activity supporting a noble cause: helping people with physical disabilities. This magnificent summer day organized by GFS Canada (now called Gordon Food Service) at the Club de Golf de la Faune, for their golfers, allowed, among other things, to raise awareness of the association.

Massages offered by the AMQ® in the company of Louis Garneau
The AMQ® has appeared numerous times at gatherings organized by Louis Garneau to support various causes. In total, during all these activities extended over several years, volunteer massage therapists offered thousands of massages to cyclists. A great way to promote the association while giving back to the community.

The old colors of the AMQ® logo
In its early days, the AMQ® logo changed a few times before settling on the one on the photo banner. However, it was not yet at its peak of beauty. This is what Marie Bélanger, at the time managing director, explained to Charlotte Bélanger, at the time general director. The verdict was brutal: the color blue and its derivatives had had their day. A rejuvenation treatment was therefore necessary: burgundy took its place, accompanied by a palette of browns. That's it: the AMQ® logo had finally blossomed!
One of the first AMQ® offices
The head office of the Association of Massotherapists of Quebec moved several times before settling in Beauport, Quebec. This is where the photo was taken, in the early 1990s. The AMQ® office was equipped, among other things, with a typewriter and a square screen computer equipped with the Windows operating system. In in a few word, the old Windows. Everything more techno, nothing less... at that time!
